Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and is of Chinese roots, but her father Winston Barrett Munn comes from the Southern part of the family. Olivia was 2 years old when her parents divorced. She is now raised by her mom and stepfather. He is a United States Air Force soldier. Although the family was spread all over, her main place of residence was Tokyo, Japan. In the years that followed she was a part of a number of local theater productions. Later, she was a model for the Japanese fashion business. Olivia was a model who moved with her family to Los Angeles in order to achieve her dream of becoming an actress, continued to work towards her goal after the family moved back to the United States. Through a string of small performances, Olivia achieved success after she was cast in the role of Mily Acua on the Hawaii television series Beyond the Break 2006 and the receptionist for Rob Schneider. She hosts G4's podcasts "The Daily Nut" along with "Formula D". Her love of surfing has been evident after the TV series Beyond the Break. Additionally, she holds a black belt in Taekwondo. When she was two, her mother got married. This time she married the son of a US Air Force serviceman. Though the family had moved numerous times, the vast majority of her existence was in Tokyo Japan, the location that her stepfather was employed by the military. The university she attended was at the University of Oklahoma, where she studied journalism, and minored in Japanese and dramatic arts.
